Food Assistance & Caring For Loved Ones

Apicha Community Health Center May 23, 2017

At Apicha CHC  we understand that taking care of someone can be challenging and that it's important to have support from your community. As a community health center, we know the value of having a support network that you can rely on to access important resources.

We Are Here To Help!

Our Nutrition Outreach and Education Program connects people with the best nutritional resources for them-  NOEP does this by providing individuals and households with confidential and accurate pre-screenings and application assistance.

The National Council On Aging (NCOA) reported at 3 out of 5 seniors who qualify for SNAP are not participating and that millions of older Americans are at risk for being food-insecure. According to the 2014 study by the National Foundation to End Senior Hunger, over 10 millions American elders faced the threat of hunger, which is over 15% of adults over the age of 60 (NCOA). These numbers are significant and make it clear that we need to be paying attention!

Apicha CHC's campaign to address the needs of American elders is important in confronting hunger and food insecurity in our community. We want to make sure you are getting the help you need.
