Five Best Exercise Apps of 2016
Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout (Android & iOS)
One big issue with following an exercise program, especially when you have a job with a varying schedule is that it's so hard to find time to develop a workout routine. This app helps alleviate that issue. Even the busiest person can probably find seven minutes in their day to do this work out. Try plugging it into your morning routine to jump-start your metabolism and your day.
If you find you have more time, you can also create a customized workout just for you, or use one the more advanced workouts the app has to offer, complete with helpful instructional videos.

FitStar Personal Trainer (Android & iOS)
This app is like having a personal trainer in your pocket. The app customizes workout for you based on your fitness level, your preferred workout duration, and areas you want to target. After each workout, you rate the difficulty, and the app learns from your preferences to continue to challenge you without breaking you physically, or mentally.
The app works off of a freemium subscription pricing model. The introductory Fit Test workout as well as two sessions per week are available for free. To try more frequent workouts, or workouts more customized for your needs, you will want to look into paying for the app subscription.
Sworkit (Android & iOS)
The Sworkit app is different in that it allows you to pick a core capability that you want your workouts to focus on. The four focus areas include: Strength, Cardio, Yoga, and Stretching. You can also choose duration of your workouts.
Sworkit then develops a randomized collection of workouts to help you work on your particular area on interest. Each workout Sworkit develops is different, meaning that you won't ever get bored with your workout or fall into a workout rut.
The app is free on both Android & iOS platforms, although there is a paid version of the app available. With the paid version you would get the ability to customize a workout routine and then save it for later.
